Day 1.

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY!
You decided to come early. We aren't even mad about it. In fact, we didn't want a "Christmas baby". You even made it easier for your Dad to remember your birthday, because you came on your moms birthday! BEST PRESENT EVER!
Day 2.

Mom going skin to skin to make you feel at home!
Day 3.

You were born a little bit early, which was scary for Mom and Dad. In the beginning you needed a little help to get going. We were lucky though, because you didn't need much help! You came out fighting!
Day 4.

You still needed some help at first! You needed some warmth, because your body wasn't regulating your temperature as well as it should. You needed just a little extra oxygen, so you had a tube up your nose. Mom and Dad were still there though to take care of you, but the doctors and nurses were doing the best job possible! Everyone was doing everything they could to make sure you would be safe and healthy!
Day 5.

You were born so tiny, but so perfect! Everyone was working around the clock to make sure you were safe!
Day 6.

You were SOOO TINY! But we loved you SOOO MUCH!
Everyone did! Everyone wanted you to be SO healthy!!
Day 7.

This day you graduated from your incubator to open air! This was a big day for us, because it meant one step closer to you coming HOME!
Day 8.

Even though they removed the tube up your nose today, the doctors and nurses still wanted to keep their eyes on you to make sure you were doing great! Luckily, you were doing great! That meant one step closer to going home!
Day 9.

Mom and Dad were coming to the hospital to be with you all day and night! The doctors and nurses were taking great care of you! Everyone wanted you to be home and safe!
Day 10.

The hospital gave us our own room today! That means they moved you out of the nursery! Almost time to go home! Everyone was so excited!
Day 11.

The doctor wanted one more day to watch you to make sure you were totally ready to go home. He told us this was the last day though. 11 days in the hospital was plenty! We were all ready to go home!
Day 12.

You did it! This was your first day home! This was your first day in your first bed! We were as happy as can be!
Day 13.

Our cats Boo and Puff were VERY interested in meeting you!
Day 14.

We think you were as excited to be home with us as we were. You certainly acted like it!
Day 15.

We took you on your first walk today! It was a short walk down to the marsh!
Day 16.

Today you got your first robotic spy camera installed! Luckily this one isn't connected to the internet, so only Mommy and Daddy can see you on it.
Day 17.

Your velcro swaddle made it very easy to make you comfy very fast! It didn't take long for Mommy and Daddy to get just as fast with a regular swaddle though.
Day 18.

You couldn't control your hands yet, so we had to use mittens so you wouldn't scratch your face. Your face was too cute for scratches!
Day 19.

Your first doctors appointment went amazing! Dr. J told us you gained an impressive amount of weight! We were working around the clock to fatten you up!
Day 20.

You love having your arms free! Even at 20 days old, you just wanted to move your arms!
Day 21.

Everyone was happy to have you added to the family! Even Boo the cat, who kind of doesn't like kids!
Day 22.

You probably loved being home the most! Comfortable bedding, all you can eat breast milk, and two loving parents catering to your every need!
Day 23.

Around this time, you started to become very aware when you were awake!
Day 24.

You were SO little, but SO cute!
Day 25.

WOAH! It turns out binkies are pretty rad!
Day 26.

Daddy loves you so much!
Day 27.

Most days you just chilled and slept. Pretty easy life.
Day 28.

Today you felt a temperature lower than 70 for the first time in your life, and you HATED it. You are warm blooded, just like your mom and dad.
Day 29.

Bathtime is stressful for everyone, but ya got to do it kidoo.
Day 30.
ONE MONTH!

Wow, what a first month! It started off scary, but kept getting better and better as the month went on. Hrmmm
I wonder what month two will be like?
